k-matrix.org - The Knowledge Matrix

Imagine...

... you see an interesting web page and you just store the link and metadata from the page by pressing a key or click on a button. Sounds like the standard bookmarking feature of the browser?

But ...
  • it's stored on a server - your k-matrix node, i.e. your own server or a system that is controlled by you,
  • you can tag the link using topics from a rich semantic network, rate it, add more metadata and comments, and
  • share it with anyone who might be interested in it - and whom you want to give access to all the information.
And there is more:
  • your k-matrix node is not alone, it's part of a global network, the k-matrix (or knowledge matrix),
  • you may get access to links (with all corresponding metadata) stored on other k-matrix nodes,
  • you may search for information about certain topics on all those interlinked nodes - if the owner give you access to their data.
